Description

The Alpha Jet is a jet trainer that doesn’t seem to ago at all, even though it flew for the first time 5 decades ago. For this book, we went into the maintenance hangars at Beauvechain Air Base in Belgium and visited the airbase of Cazaux, near the French city of Bordeaux. Every single part of the aircraft is shown, including the different ejection seats that are used in the jet, the wings and the off-centre nose landing gear, allowing for room for the belly gun pod. Aircraft shown include those of Belgium, Germany, France, Portugal, UK, Thailand and Morocco. We also take a closer look at the jets flying with the famous Patrouille de France.
