The Republic F-84F Thunderstreak

March 2025 and we can present you our new book on the Republic F-84F Thunderstreak. This is the oldest jet we have had in our series: a popular first generation jet of which nearly 3500 were built and flown with 12 countries. The Thunderstreak was the first fighter-bomber equipped with swept wings and was flown for over 2 decades. Some pilots even managed to break the sound barrier with it, when in a dive! What we are working on next

We aren’t going to tell you that !!! But, we can drop a few hints, though!

While we are but a small team, we try to bring at least 6 to 8 new books each year. The only way to do that is to work on many books at the same time. Currently, we have 3 series: the modern aircraft, classic aircraft and aircraft carriers. We work on new books in each of these series and even some new series! While we want to keep the subjects of the books a surprise, we can drop some hints, right? How about a jet that was used at sea and on land with a folding nose, tail and wings?

The adventure of making books on carriers

Making books on aircraft carriers presents an incredible opportunity but also a big challenge. When you finally get the green light to visit an aircraft, you only get limited time aboard. This can be from 1 to 4 days – if you get lucky. And you aren’t probably the only photo journalist invited, so you have to take that into account. Basically, you try to take as many photos of as many different parts of the aircraft, helicopters and of course the ship itself. The first book in this series was on the Spanish assault ship Juan Carlos I. We show you the harrier IIs on the ship, a series of helicopters – like the Sea King, Bell 212 and Cougar  – and the military vehicles that are brought to shore by the landing craft. Discover the details of the ship’s interior, defence systems and super structure!
