Flying during Artemis II: WB-57 Canberra

Like so many, I was following the events of the Artemis II mission around the moon. I mean, it is pretty amazing that humanity is planning on going back to the moon after more than 50 years. Considering that the position of the earth and moon constantly change and well, 380,000 km isn’t just around the corner, I think this is just amazing. I read that during the final fase of the trip, a WB-57 Canberra of NASA was flying at high altitude. And what a fantastic aircraft that is. NASA operates 3 of the long winged at Ellington Field and have been flying research missions for 5 decades. The aircraft has an incredible wingspan of 37,34 meter and flies up to altitudes of over 63.000 feet during missions that can last 6,5 hours!
