F-4D Phantom II back to the skies
After an extensive restoration of 7 years, the F-4D Phantom II of the Collings Foundation has taken to the air once again. It is the only airworthy Phantom II in a private collection. While many aircraft spotters assembled in Belgium for the Florennes air Show in late June of 26, where no less than 4 F-4E Phantoms – 2 Greek and 2 Turkish ones – were flying, aviation enthusiasts in the US can admire the Texas-based F-4D.
