Coming Up Next: NH90 !!

While the use of the NH90 helicopter started with some controversy and some operators even withdrew it more quickly than expected, at the time of writing, the medium-sized helicopter was ordered by 14 countries and more than 500 have been built. As with many newly introduced types, the NH90 had its teething problems, which were all looked at. At the basis of this book are the NH90s that were bought by the Belgian Air Force, which bought two versions: the TTH – Tactical Transport Helicopter – and the NFH – NATO Frigate Helicopter – but photos of all operators of the helicopter are featured in this book!

This new book in the Duke Hawkins series – the 43rd – is filled with both action and detail. Included in this book are the different versions of the cargo bay, cockpit and one of the most extensive maintenance chapters that’s what we’ve done so far! Close to 400 photos are packed in this 148 page book! This book will be available before the end of the year.

Aircraft Survivors

Hardcover book project with Philip Stevens

For many years, aviation photographer Philip Stevens has been visiting preserved aircraft around the world. He visited aviation museums, air bases, gate guards, restoration projects, private collections and even aircraft that are all but forgotten. Upon talking to Philip, I immediately felt his passion for aviation history and plans were made to present his high quality photographs in a book.

While there is still a lot of work to be done on this book and the release date is still unkown, I wanted to share with you that we are working on this special project. This hardcover book will focus on aircraft survivors, some of them the only ones left in the world, in collections in Europe. With this book, we hope to motivate you to visit some of these aircraft yourself and learn about their place in aviation history. This book will also give a technical insight in how to photograph vintage or veteran aircraft in sometimes difficult areas.

Project Meteor

The Limited Edition Revell set of their new-tool Gloster Meteor F/8/FR.9 in 1/32 scale is now available! This set
includes the kit – which is clearly one of the best kits Revell has ever produced – masks, a poster, photo-etched parts
and our new book on the first generation jet fighter.

The book has 84 pages, some 200 photos of the Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9, with some spectacular images of the
sole surviving airworthy F.8 in the world, which is also featured on the cover of the book. The book will be available
separately early in 2026.

English Electric Lightning

With this 40th book in our series, we have totalled over 5,200 pages of reference material for the aircraft enthusiast and scale modeler !

DH-040 is a 140 page book on the English Electric Lightning, the last British-built supersonic interceptor. A jet flown by only the 1% best fighter pilots at its time, the Lightning is an icon. It was the only aircraft that was able to intercept Concorde during a test flight in April of 1985. Considering that the passenger jet flew at a speed of Mach 2.2 and an altitude of 57,000 feet, it was quite an accomplishment. Even more so when you know that many other jets tried the same and failed: legendary aircraft such as the F-104 Starfighter, F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, Mirage III and F-16 Fighting Falcon.

This book is filled with action ànd detail, from fuselage, cockpit, landing gear, wings and tail section. An extensive maintenance section is included, of course.
